Los Angeles, California – “America’s Got Talent,” NBC’s hit television talent show from American Idol producers FremantleMedia North America and Simon Cowell’s SYCO Television, will launch its first ever nationwide tour this fall, bringing the country’s most dynamic and diverse entertainers to 25 cities beginning October 1st at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, CA. The announcement was made jointly today by Debra Rathwell, Senior Vice President of AEG Live, Northeast, and Andy Felsher, SVP, Games, Entertainment and Live Events for FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME). Hosted by Jerry Springer, the spectacular live stage version will feature the Season 5 winner, who will be crowned during the show’s season finale on September 15th. This phenomenal event, promoted by AEG Live, will also feature other dynamic finalists and fan favorites from the hit series.

America’s Got Talent returned this summer with the hottest performers from across the country competing in the blockbuster reality show’s fifth season. Bringing the variety show format back to the forefront of American culture each week, the show features a colorful array of hopeful future stars — singers, dancers, comedic performers and unique acts of all ages. While each contestant has the chance to strut and perform in front of a panel of celebrity judges including Howie Mandel, Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan, the eventual winner is chosen by the television viewing audience. Since launching in 2006, America’s Got Talent has been sold to over 100 countries, with localized versions of the hit format being produced in 24 countries around the world.

LOS ANGELES, California /PRNewswire/ — The most beloved summer series is going live as the “So You Think You Can Dance Tour” takes the show directly to fans nationwide. The most crowd-pleasing moves start making their way through the country on September 19 in New Orleans, LA. NEW YORK, New York –(Marketwire) – Atlantic recording artist Jason Castro has announced plans for his first-ever headlining tour. The dates herald the release of his much-anticipated debut LP, “JASON CASTRO,” which arrives in stores and at all online retailers on April 13th.

Castro will kick off his first headlining tour in his home state of Texas with an April 17th show at Dallas’s The Loft. The trek will then traverse the US through mid-May (see itinerary below). A further slate of summer tour dates will be announced shortly.

“JASON CASTRO” is highlighted by the new single, “That’s What I’m Here For,” which is currently scoring at Hot AC radio outlets nationwide. The track — coupled with an exclusive rendition of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow,” one of the songs that helped earn Castro a third runner-up finish on the 2008 season of Fox’s American Idol — is on sale now at digital retailers everywhere. Castro recently performed both songs on the ABC special The Bachelor: Jason and Molly’s Wedding.

What’s more, a second season of Castro’s “That’s What I’m Here For” web series has just kicked off, with additional webisodes premiering each following Tuesday at Jason’s official site, www.jasoncastromusic.com. The light-hearted series playfully answers the often posed question, “what would you be doing if you hadn’t been on American Idol?”

“JASON CASTRO” brims with toe-tapping pop, strummy folk, and electrifying rock — all cleverly balanced, rooted in the classic, melody-minded singer-songwriter tradition, with heart-on-sleeve lyrics and acoustic guitar-driven arrangements. After his elimination from Idol, he was given a record deal by RCA Records. The band that was formed, Daughtry, released their self-titled debut album which sold more than one million copies after just five weeks of release, becoming the fastest selling debut rock album in history. In its ninth week of release, the album reached number one on the Billboard charts. Chris Daughtry is now the third most successful American Idol contestant in terms of record sales, behind only Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, who both won their respective seasons. At the 50th Grammy Awards, he was nominated for Best Rock Song for “It’s Not Over”.

The band’s second album, Leave This Town, was released on July 14, 2009. The first single, “No Surprise,” was released on May 5. Leave This Town debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 selling 269,000 copies in its first week. The record was also No. 1 on the Digital Albums Chart and the Rock Chart. “America’s Got Talent,” NBC’s top rated summer series from “American Idol” producers FremantleMedia North America and Simon Cowell’s SYCO Television, returns for a fifth season this summer with a two-hour premiere on Tuesday, June 1 (8-10 p.m. ET) followed by a Wednesday edition debuting June 2 (9-10 p.m. ET).

With the talent search open to acts of all ages, “America’s Got Talent” has brought the variety format back to the forefront of American culture by showcasing performers from across the country. The series is a true celebration of the American spirit, featuring a colorful array of hopeful stars, including singers, dancers, comedians, contortionists, impressionists, jugglers, magicians and ventriloquists, all vying for their chance to strut and perform on stage hoping to win America’s hearts — and the $1 million prize.

Singing chicken farmer Kevin Skinner was crowned the winner of season four and the victory moved the humble country singer to tears in front of the live nationwide audience. Skinner, who also took home the show’s $1 million prize, headlined the “America’s Got Talent Live,” show hosted by Jerry Springer at the Planet Hollywood Casino in Las Vegas this past October.
