Raphie’s new DVD “Ralphie May: Austin-Tatious” is being released on May 5th. “Austin-Tatious” marks his fourth recording in just a few short years and was one of the highest rated specials on Comedy Central, which led to Variety naming him one of “10 Comics to Watch” in 2008. Filmed live at the historic Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas, Ralphie keeps the sold-out audience in a continuous uproar with his supercharged, politically incorrect stand-up. The DVD features 55 minutes of footage never broadcast on Comedy Central.

Ralphie first entered the public eye when he appeared in the first season of the reality television series, Last Comic Standing, in which stand-up comedians compete for a television contract. May finished as first runner-up. His career has taken off since then, and he performs at some of the most well-known comedy clubs across the country.  In 2005, he appeared on the television show Celebrity Fit Club, where he lost 27 pounds.  In recent years May has lost a great deal of weight, especially after he elected to undergo gastric bypass surgery.

His first CD and DVD, titled Just Correct, was released on February 10, 2004 and has since gone platinum.
